Learning Objectives

  1. Determine the prevalence and impact of acne and atopic dermatitis (eczema).
  2. Assess patients with acne and atopic dermatitis to determine if they suitable for a minor ailment assessment or require referral to another clinician.
  3. Discuss the importance of maintaining the skin barrier to optimize the management of atopic dermatitis and acne.
  4. Explain the different pharmacological treatment options for the management of mild-to-moderate atopic dermatitis and acne.
  5. Determine the appropriate follow-up for these conditions and managing common issues seen in the management of these conditions.
