Mario is a partner in KPMG Canada's audit practice, with almost 20 years of experience in a wide range of financial services firms. Mario holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree in Accounting from the University of Johannesburg. He is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants and CPA Ontario. Mario has worked on large and medium size financial institutions in Canada. He also spent two years in South Africa (2005-2008), the UK (2015-2017) and two years in Chile (2021-2023).
