This interactive workshop equips pharmacists with a practical, evidence-based framework for assessing and managing obesity in everyday practice. Grounded in the latest Canadian obesity guidelines, the session moves beyond BMI to help participants recognize clinical obesity, stage patients using the Edmonton Obesity Staging System (EOSS), and build individualized, patient-centred care plans. Participants will also work through a facilitated patient case, applying the framework to real-world scenarios and discussing management strategies with their peers. Practical takeaway tools and screening resources are provided throughout.
