PACKING CHECKLIST

  • Casual wear for daytime sightseeing. For example, shorts and T-shirt are fine for daytime wear.
  • The Welcome Dinner and Thursday Dinner are casual attire. Nights will be cooler, it is suggested to bring a light sweater or jacket.
  • For the Friday Farewell Dinner – A dress shirt or sport coat are recommended for men, and a cocktail dress or a pant suit is suggested for women.
  • Scottsdale is generally warm year-round, but sometimes you might encounter a short cold spell during your visit. You’ll probably want to have a sweater or jacket just for the plane ride over.
  • Bring two swimsuits so that you will always have a dry (or at least dry-ish) suit to wear.
  • Bring a swimsuit cover-up as most resorts request that you modestly cover up while in the lobby and common areas other than the pool and beach.
  • For the pool and beach, you will need flip flops or other water shoes.
  • Long trousers, preferably moisture wicking and quick drying. Several activities either request or are best performed in long trousers – such as hiking and upcountry visits.
  • Sunglasses, ideally polarized sunglasses.
  • It’s recommended to bring a light rain jacket or umbrella as there may be brief rain showers.
  • Bring broad spectrum Sunscreen with preferred SPF rating.
  • A rash guard top for additional sun protection.
  • Lip balm with SPF.
  • Hat and/or visor.
  • Camera with lots of memory or film and battery life. If you have a battery charger, bring it too. You might be surprised at how many photos you’ll want to take.
  • Beach bag that packs flat and/or lightweight backpack for carrying snacks, water, and other sightseeing necessities
  • Travel-sized wet sipes to have with you on the go
  • Travel size hand sanitizer bottle
  • If you forgot any item, you’ll have easy access to affordable shopping to pick up anything you may have forgotten. Walgreens and a wide array of drugstores and clothing shops are close to the resort.
