Dear Full-time Pharmacist, Pharmacy Manager and Store Support Colleagues,

We are excited to be coming together in person again at our 2024 Loblaw & Shoppers Drug Mart Pharmacy & Wellness Conference in Calgary. We are committed to providing an exciting conference where you can participate in sessions and activities to educate, engage, and inspire you, along with ample time to network and mingle with your colleagues. This conference is attended by Loblaw pharmacy managers, SDM pharmacists, and colleagues from our various healthcare businesses and store support offices.

This year’s theme is “destination: care”. It celebrates the efforts that you and your teams have made over the past few years to solidify your pharmacies as Canadians’ go-to destination for all of their health and wellness needs.

The conference is on Friday, June 14 and Saturday, June 15 at the Calgary Telus Convention Centre, 136 8 Ave SE, Calgary, AB T2G 0K6.

Please review the important details below and if you have any additional questions or comments, please discuss them with your Director or Associate-Owner.

• Full-time pharmacists working 28 hours or more per week are strongly encouraged to attend the Calgary conference.
   
• ​​​​​Pharmacists scheduled to work on Friday and/or Saturday of the conference weekend will be eligible for regular wages for all their scheduled shifts. Those not scheduled to work Friday and/or Saturday of the conference weekend will not be paid additional wages to attend.
   
• Air travel is approved only for pharmacists who live greater than a four-hour drive from the conference venue.
   
• Accommodation is available for all pharmacists on Friday evening, if desired. In addition, attendees who live more than a one-hour drive from the conference venue are eligible for accommodation on Thursday night as well.
   
• We are offering two optional CE Sessions on Thursday, June 13 for pharmacists who can attend without incurring any additional accommodation costs. An optional WILA (Women in Leadership for Associates) session will be offered on Friday, June 14 for those that are interested.
   
• Vehicle travel to and from the conference should be discussed with your Director or Associate Owner.
